I got 86% (12/14).

I used to have very heavy periods that would affect my life. I would bleed through a super plus tampon every 90 minutes or so. Found out I had fibroids and once they were surgically removed, my periods returned to "normal."

Currently, after two kids, my periods are 27-30 days apart with 3 days of bleeding and 2-3 days of spotting at the end.

Is it normal to miss a period for 7 months, then suddenly start spotting for a week, then have a full blown period for two weeks directly following the spotting.

Hi Alicia,

I encourage you to start a new discussion to get feedback from our expert and others on your situation.

To do that, hold your cursor over the orange Post Now button on the upper right and choose 'Discussion' from the drop down menu which appears. Fill in the subject line and body of the message (you can ignore the poll part if you want) and Submit.

Be sure to include your age, if anything has changed for you in terms of hormonal birth control, etc.
