Abnormally long period

I'm 19 years old, and unfortunately, I'm on day 21 of my period, and it's going strong. I've encountered a lot of strange things this time around, as well. When it first started, it was very light. This happened for about 5 days, when suddenly it turned to this very heavy, thick chocolate syrup looking mess. About 2 days later, it went to a very standard period, which made me hopeful that it would be over soon - I was wrong! It got heavier, and for about 10 hours, stopped entirely. It came back, this time more mauve-y than anything else. It's got me really concerned as my doctor's have had issues with me being irregular my whole life. Last November I did have a baby, but my hormones snapped back to where they needed to be pretty quickly (no breastfeeding or anything like that). The December period skipped, but from January April it was clockwork! Then, in May, this happened. But it started at the regular time! I'm scared because my Gynecologist told me that it may be highly likely that I have endometriosis and I'm not sure what to think about it. I've got an appointment set with her for later this month, but in the mean time, is there anything you can tell me to help settle my nerves? I don't think this stress is helping much!

Please see if you can get this appointment moved up so this abnormal vaginal bleeding can be checked out.
