there is hope! The bubbles/ and buldges where the cuts were made, if on the outside, are usually scar tissue. You can help fix this. Sounds silly but it worked for me. Just take some lotion three or four times a day for 15 min and massage the areas. This helps to break down the scar tissue. There may also still have interanl stiches that have not dissolved and this will help, and yes mine were painful as well. The bleeding, your husband needs to be patient and realize there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You are only three weeks out from surgery you should not even be attempting intercourse, it could cause alot of extra problems. You need to wait no less than six weeks for intercourse of any kind. There are other things you could do for him to ease his discomfort than intercourse. My bleeding did not subside for almost two months. Luckyly I had a very patient husband, but two years later, after a repair where I had a hole in the side of my vaginal wall--from bladder lift, there has been no bleeding and up unitl recent no odor or pain (still no pain). It increased our sex life by a incredible amount and my enjoyment has been tremendous due to no worries of bleeding or pregnancy. I would do the vaginal ablation again in a heart beat.

Please be aware that pregnancy is possible although uncommon after endometrial ablation. Pregnancy rates MAY vary by type of ablation. Since the uterine lining is scarred, these pregnancies have a high risk of complications. Here's one study in PubMed; there are others -

Thank you SO much for replying...you made me feel much better after reading so many scarey posts. I will try the lotion for the scar tissue and and definately holding off on sex until my dr gives me the green light...after you were all healed up, were you able to go back to lifting normally? im a cheer coach and up until the surgery, was used to lifting, tossing, and catching girls up to 100 lbs (heavier when catching a toss) im not doing it now of course but would be devistated if i cannot go back to it eventually...i'll ask my dr at my 6 week appt, but was hoping you could give me info now to ease my mind...thanks again for your reply
