2 bartholin and a Skeen's cyst procedure question

Yesterday my wife was having some serious swelling around her vagina so we got into an OBGYN. They told her she had bartholin cysts on both sides as well as a skeen's cyst a little higher. She said they were talking like this was their first experience with something like this and it's gotten me a little nervous.

1. They tried to numb the area by injecting her in 3 spots. That said, they immediately began making incisions. Don't you usually wait for that stuff to kick in?
2. My wife is a tough chick, but she about passed out when they squeezed everything out.
3. They tried to do the skeen's cyst, but said they weren't able to. She asked for clarification, but didn't get any.
4. At first they said they were going to stick in catheters, but on one side they said they couldn't get it in. They were never clear on the other.
5. She could barely walk and was in intense pain, but they didn't even help her to the door or give her pain medication.
6. As soon as the procedure was done, the doctor just took off without answering any questions. A nurse stayed, but she'd never done anything like this so she didn't answer any questions.
7. We're supposed to be leaving the country late tomorrow night, but I'm really nervous of the plane ride, not to mention being away from a hospital. The swelling is way down and she's not in pain anymore, but are we good to just up and go? She asked them and they said it'd probably be fine, but didn't sound too confident one way or another.
8. They're closed on the weekend and told her there was no emergency contact for them and that the ER probably wouldn't be able to help so if something went wrong, she'd have to wait until Monday.

I'm probably just being super over-paranoid, but some of this just didn't sit right when she told me.

Your wife has been told that traveling is fine for her to do.

If she continues without pain or swelling, then there should not be any issues with infection at the site they worked on.
