I've been getting my period every two weeks

I'm a teenage girl, almost 16, and I was stressing out a lot during the end of May and June and I assumed that was why I was getting my period every two weeks, but it continues. I just got my period for the first time after more than two weeks, three to be exact, and it's still really heavy after three days, when it usually slows down.
This has happened before, last year, and I think it happened the year before too.
What's going on?
