On 7-26-12 my wife had a partial hystorectomy to remove a fibroid that was causing her pain . After sign in , she went into surgery @ 630A.M. Her O.B.G.Y.N. had come to me and said " because your wife had two c- sections, often times the bladder sticks to the stomach ." I called in Dr. Roe , specialist , to stich up a small tear in her bladder . " " he looked at her bladder and couldn't find any more tears. "
7-27 wife was discharged with a cathater ...... to our objections
7-28 Took wife to E.R. because of swelling of ankles& legs ..... sent home 6 hours latter after it was found their were no blood clots .
7-30 wife in pain from cathater , called Dr he proscribed painkiller & called into pharmacy . picked up 5;35P.M.
7-31 wife still in pain , called Dr. prescribed a different painkiller .picked this up @1135 A.M.
7-31 P.M. several Dr. appt. scheduled ,canceled, and different re-scheduled .
My question is ; How is a routine procedure so complicated ? I think they were wrong to send my wife home and they caused the tear in her bladder.
I had forgotten to mention MY WIFE IS DIABETIC !!!
Now we go in 8-6 for a CYSTOGRAM and 8-7 she is to have cathater removed.

What an awful experience! Bladder and bowel nicks are probably the most common risks of hysterectomy and other pelvic surgeries. I hope she heals ok and this doesn't cause any chronic problems.
