Painful Periods

I'm 23 years old, allergic to birth control; found out the hard way. My periods lately have been very painful, and I get a lot of tissues/clots that come out. These past 2 periods there have been nothing but clots/tissue. And some reason today it feels like my right ovary is on fire. It's burning in that area, I can feel it in the front and back too. I don't normally cramp until recently. Does anyone know what is going on? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Get checked for a clotting disorder. I have factor 2 gene mutation which makes me clot easy. and I found out is why I had clots rather than a normal period. I actually just had a pulmonary embolism in my right lung. And I am also 23. Are you allergic to the estrogen or progesterone in the birth control? If you need a birth control option use the IUD it is NON hormonal and yes it sucks in the beginning but will get better. Go to a OB/GYN specialist and a hematologist. They are better then a normal family doctor because they are specialized.
I dont know what state you live in or your type of insurance but you may need referrals to see the proper doctors.
If you do have a clotting disorder life is going to get a little harder but its better to know then not know and die. which I found out the hard way. Both my pregnancies should have been high risk and I am lucky my girls or my self didnt die.
Good Luck
