Taking birth control a few hours early!?

I am on my honeymoon and have been very careful to take my bc on time, however.. After a long day of traveling, we both fell asleep and when we woke up, I thought we had slept thru the night and that I skipped a day! I freaked out, took my next pill only to realize it was still the same night... Now I've taken my pill 3-4 hours early, what does this mean? When should I take my next pill? Do I need other forms of protection?

Thanks

You're fine. The only time that would be a problem is if you are on the mini-pill. As long as you are on the regular pill, you have nothing to worry about and do not need to use back-up protection. Take your next pill at your normal time.
