Endomtriosis

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can help? I recently had some endomtriosis removed from near my bowel and my bladder. This was done in the begining of May and I had some minor pain afterwards. However, in the last fortnight the pain has become nearly constant (as it was before the surgery), however I have not experienced any kind of bleeding (I do have the coil). This pain reached a peak about an hour ago when the pain was so intense for about 20 minutes that I couldn't move and felt incredibly sick, the pain has since died down to a continual pain again which I am feeling all across my lower abdomen, down my legs and into my back. I am not a stranger to these kinds of pains - I was just wondering if anyone can tell me whether it's something to worry about due to the really intense pain or whether it's just one of those things? I've got exams in 10 days and don't really want to have to worry about my health on top of everything else!!

Thought I'd respond since no one else has. Has your pain subsided? I know it's usually difficult to remove endo and excision tends to be more successful than laser or cauterization. So it's possible the pain could be from endo. But surgery can also cause adhesions (scar tissue) and the adhesions can get into the bowels causing impaction or obstruction which is very painful. Evidence of this would be severe constipation or lack of bowel movements. This would be a medical emergency. You didn't mention if you're on pain medication but certain pain meds (opioids) can also cause constipation. Drinking water, eating plenty of fiber, and exercising will help keep the bowels moving.
