Can't Stop Bleeding...No Health Insurance...Need Help

I just turned 49 and until a few months ago my periods were like clockwork. (let me preface by saying all the women in my family went through menopause in their late 50's). I missed a period a few months ago and at the time I attributed it to being on synthroid for my thyroid. I couldn't afford the medicine anymore so I stopped taking it and my periods went back to clockwork. Months passed and I went to my internal med dr because my hair started falling out and she said I needed to go back on the synthroid and gave me 4 months of samples. I didn't start taking them until May 30. I had a period in June that was 3 days late, then none in July. I decided it must be that darn synthroid so I started messing with my dose and started skipping 2 days a week of the synthroid. and then started spotting 13 days ago. I never ever had spotting before. I was hoping it was my period but no. The spotting turned to a weirdly light flow without any normal period symptoms. Almost like something inside me is bleeding. The flow increased over the days but without the gradual tapering off I expected to see after 5 days. This just keeps going and . So I started taking the synthroid down to 1/2 a pill every day for a few days. The bleeding kept going so I decided to go in the other direction and go back to taking a whole synthroid as prescribed every day. So yes, I really messed things up with the synthroid. But yesterday and whole new disturbing set of events. I had been incredibly dizzy all day then I felt a sudden sharp pain that felt like it radiated from my right ovary up to my upper ribs. 30 minutes later I felt cramps for 4 minutes and I had to run to the bathroom because there was a gush of blood like someone turned on a faucet and a clot the size of my hand came out. I went to rest on the sofa and when I got up the same thing happened a quick cramp, a flood of blood and a clot the size of my palm. So I stayed put on the sofa for a few hours. My ovary has been aching since then with occasional sharp pokes of pain, sort of like when you ovulate but blood has never accompanied ovulating before. Since then I've had more like a medium heavy flow. I feel like the whole system has gone haywire. I lost my health insurance and now can't afford any doctor or any blood tests etc. Should I just stop taking the synthroid cold turkey? I can't help but think its the reason all this started in the first place. Maybe its something else thats' causing me to bleed abnormally for 13 days. I'm so dizzy that I'm worried I'm going to pass out so I need to figure out what is going wrong.

You need to get yourself to an ER. Now. Your dizziness is an excellent symptom of severe anemia from all this blood loss.

After the anemia has been addressed, you can look further into why all this abnormal vaginal bleeding. Frankly, your synthroid likely plays no role in this.

Thank you for giving me an answer but I can't go to the ER. I can't go to the doctor. They are going to want to run tests and they will want cash up front. I have no money and no health insurance. There has to be another option.

Once you pass out and our family calls for an ambulance, the idea you can't go to the ER will be moot.

Any luck? I have been on mine for 8 weeks...getting heavier with clots. Usually birth control can make it stop, but I've had a blot clot (DVT) and cannot take any...guess I suffer til ultrasound and biopsy scheduled next week.
