Where do I go for help

Im 56 yrs old, female healthy in menopause. I am married and love my husband of 10 yrs. I have never had much of a sex drive, but now it's like it's completely gone. Although once I am involved in sex I do enjoy it, but I don't think about it or even feel like looking at a good looking man. My husband is a good lover and is always ready to have sex and I know he has to be tired of me and my lack of interest. Sometimes I think I could go without sex and never miss it. Maybe it's hormones, but I really don't want to take medication that has serious side effects. I really don't know what to do, or who to see for help. What kind of a doctor do I need to see and how do I find a good one?

Talk to your GYN and tell him/her your concerns. Please let us know what you decide.

Very likely it's hormones..or, rather, the lack of them since you are in menopause. Often even small amounts of replacement hormones will increase libido.
