A tumor is just an abnormal growth of body tissue. Many tend to think "cancer" when they hear this word but there are non-cancerous and cancerous tumors. A cyst is a type of tumor and most are harmless. I have cysts on some organs as well as one on my arm. They aren't causing any problems and no doctor has ever suggested I do anything about them. Of course, there are times that they can cause problems and may need to be monitored or removed.
