I think that I may be pregnant. I was married this July, had not had sex before the marriage for several months. I had my last normal period before the wedding. A week after we got back from our Honeymoon, I noticed several vague but noticeable symptoms- headaches, nauseousness without vomiting, fatigue, polydipsia. I was expecting my period within the week and it came, but was extremely light and only lasted one day. My periods are what I call, regularly irregular. I am on birth control pills but I will start my period before the pack is finished; always 3 or 4 days early and I always have a very heavy flow. I have never missed a period in my life and my periods are never late. I went on for another month with the same symptoms that would come and go. I was supposed to have my period over 5 days ago and it is nowhere in sight. I'm not experiencing any cramping or PMS symptoms, except that my breasts are slightly tender. I have taken three home pregnancy tests and all have come back negative. I feel pregnant.

I am not under any abnormal stress and my husband and I would be very happy if I were to be pregnant and would be fine if I'm not-- either way. I just need to know what is going on with my body!

Skipping a period while on birth control is common. A regular WebMD poster had it happen to her 3 times. Just because it's never happened to you before doesn't mean it can't/won't. If you miss a second period and are still getting negative tests, see your doctor.
