Paragard,heavy bleeding and hair loss

I had the paragard inserted at 2 months post partum. I am currently 4 months post partum and finally started my period( I am currently breastfeeding). The flow is HEAVY. It's like bleeding after I delivered my baby. It's been a day now since I've been bleeding heavily like this. It's so bad that I am soaking through super flow pads. I wanted to know if this is normal. I don't have any cramping or anything. I am concerned that this will go on for a while and that every time I have my period, I will experience this.

On another note, I've been reading about women who have experienced severe hair loss while being on paragard or after getting it taken out. I was on birth control pills for almost 10 years and noticed my hair starting to thin out at my temples so I decided I would never get on any hormonal birth control ever again. Once I got off, my hair starting shedding like crazy. Now I am still losing hair since I had a baby, but I am afraid that from what I've been reading about hair loss while on paragard, it's going to make things worse.
