I don't know if I'm in the right place, so forgive me ahead of time. I am inquiring for my Aunt, she has turned to many doctors, all of them have just shrugged their shoulders and have sent her on her way with no answers or advice. Last year, all of a sudden, she noticed her palms became red and irritated, also itchy. She thought that she accidentally gave herself a chemical burn and didn't pay it attention. A couple of days later, she noticed it was not improving and she noticed her face started to swell considerably. She also started noticing hives on her body. These symptoms would last a couple of weeks to a couple of months and disappear as mysteriously as they came. Doctors and specialist have done blood test and allergy test that have come back normal. They gave her steroids that helped but these symptoms have always returned. She does have a thyroid condition and does not take medication for it. Through my research, I have noticed that there is a autoimmune condition that is associated with thyroid disease. I was wondering if anyone has any information about this or experience. The doctors that she is seeking help with are being rather dismissive, and in my opinion, they are being dismissive because her symptoms aren't threatening to her daily life nor what they might consider threatening. I feel extremely bad for her, I would like to help her as much as I could, so any words of advice or experience are really appreciated.
