My name is Jessica..I just turned 30 in august. I have, in the past been diagnosed with endomitriosis, cystic ovaries, and have had 4 laperoscopies since i was about 19.
I had identical twin girls in 05, it was a very difficult pregnancy. Problems included high blood pressure, extreme hyper emesis, which led to malnutrition, and my kidneys tried to shut down at least 3 times. My girls were about 8 weeks premature, and were delivered by emergency c-section. Because of the extreme complications during this pregnancy, I had a tubal ligation during my c-section. I didn't want to chance another equally difficult pregnancy. At one point during my pregnancy, I was told I had "Graves Disease" my understanding is that it has something to do with thyroid issues. I was put on meds for it, which helped with alot of my issues, and i felt much better, but when they retested me about 2 weeks later they said it was a mistake of some kind, and took the meds, which seemed to be helping, away. I'm sorry if this is a bit vague, but at the time I was much more concerned with the twins making it.
When I was 16, and was diagnosed with cystic ovaries, i was put on several different forms of birth control, mostly daily pills, which made me very sick, I ended up on Depo-Provera shot for about 3 years, when I stopped taking it I had a period for almost 6 months. That is when they started doing lapaoscopies, and diagnosed my endemitriosis. I was told in 2006, that if my female issues continued, i would need to consider a more drastic solution, my doctors suggested a historectomy. I have not allowed another surgery since.
Now I am having severe heart palpatations (i've always had these, but they seem worse than they were) night sweats, hot flashes, migraines almost every day (i've always had these, but only once a month or so until the past few months) trouble gaining weight, and for 3 months now I've had 2 periods each month. I take lamictal once daily, 75mg. I have been on this med for almost 3 years, and ibuprophen for the headaches. I have also had kidney stones, kidney pain, pelvic pain, and intermittent dark urine, numbness in my hands and feet sometimes.
I know this is a long shot, but I would love any input someone can give. I dont have medical, and can't afford to go to a Dr. In the past when I have gone to Dr's they seem to treat each symptom individually, but I can't help but wonder if they are missing something..
