Weird periods/bleeding

I'm 21 years old, healthy, and I have a son who just turned 3.

I've always had very heavy periods, usually lasting 5-6 days, and made me very uncomfortable, horrible cramps, bloating, headaches, mood swings, etc. I've never gotten a period on the same time of month, sometimes it's 28 days between them sometimes it's 35, it's always different. A few months ago I had a period that was "normal" to me, well 2 weeks later I had even heavier bleeding, with dark clots that lasted 10 days, it had dark red blood & some light red blood. 3 weeks later I had another period. I keep spotting in between all of my periods, it's brown & black colored. Then my next period was heavier than usual, but lasting the same amount of time. I had a period 1 week ago, & 2 days ago I started bleeding light red blood again, now i'm currently spotting brown/black. Due to my periods being so heavy I always wear pads & change them often.

What does this mean? Is this normal? I'm scared that it might not be because noone i've talked to has issues like this.

This is not normal and all this bleeding does not represent menstrual periods. It is time to get this abnormal vaginal bleeding looked into medically.

Thanks for the input, once the bleeding stops i'm going to go to my gyn. Do you have any idea on what it might be?

Why wait until the bleeding stops?

When I called they said to wait until the bleeding stops to come in so I guess that's what i'm going to do.
