Trying to conceive, light missed periods

Hello,
I am 29 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 8 months. My last two menstrual cycles have consisted of very light spotting, primarily pinkish/brown only when wiping. Never requiring a pad or tampon. I tend to have light periods, but this light is atypical. Last month I used ovulation test strips and had a positive test on 9/9/12, with light spotting starting on 9/19/12. Each month I have taken pregnancy tests thinking (and hoping) that the light spotting may be a sign of implantation bleeding, but they have all been negative. I am starting to get concerned that there is something more going on. I have contacted my local Ob/gyn who recommended I make an appointment, but unfortunately no openings were available for 6 weeks. Also, I previously had my thyroid tested, and those lab values came back normal. My mother went through menopause at 55, so I am hoping that I am not at increased risk of early menopause.
Any help is much appreciated!!!
