How effective are birth control pills?

Im on ortho trycline lo, been on it for over 2 years now. I take it every day at the same time - i dont miss a pill - Im very careful on that!! my boyfriend and i were messing around (10/14/12) but he didnt go in fully (some pentration, not much though) and didnt have a condom on. And he DID NOT ejuclate in me. my cycle is pretty much 28 days and according to the fertility calendar I was past my "fertile days". Any chance of me being pregnant? My period should come on the 24/25th of this month and im already have symptoms - nausea, cramping, breast tenderness. I think my chances of being pregnant are very low, but I wanted an expert opinion. Help!
