I was resently admitted to the hospital for something other than my colon aftrer the mri the doctor went on to say i have holes in my colon. and that was all he would say..., How serious is this

You need to discuss this further with your physician. Actual holes in your colon are quite serious; fecal matter would leak out into your abdominal cavity and this would be a disaster.

POUCHES in your colon (i.e., diverticulosis) are far more common and certainly not as dangerous.
