I started my peroid 16 days ago and am starting to get concerned. My normal cycle is only 3-4 days. The cramps and bloating are getting unbearable. Should I continue to just take over the counter pain relievers and just wait until it passes or is the a sign of something much more serious. I don't have insurance and don't want to go in unless it is totally necessary.

Bleeding for that long is definitely cause for concern and needs to be checked by a doctor.
