I have been without a period for 1 year, thenI started having premenstrual symptoms. I am 59 yr old.Unable to rely on family hx due to mother and two younger sisters had hysterectomy before their 50,s.I had pelvic sonogram which therr is some thickening of uterine wll.D&c unremarkable. thyroid test normal.Can it be normal for me to have some spotting because I may not be fully in menopause state, especially since I have perimenopause symptoms.

It's my understanding that this is a normal occurance for menopausal and post-menopausal women. Unless you have other symptoms or strong(er) symptoms, if it was happening to me, I'd chalk it up to the menopause. You can always leave a message with your Dr's office and they should call you back with some suggestions.
