    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Slimy, Mucous like period?

I think this is my period, it's been hard to tell but whatever it is it's been going on for a month now. It all started 3/10/13. I used the restroom to only see a huge blood clot (golf ball size) come out. I actually felt it come out. Ever since I have been bleeding in the AM and brown discharge in the PM. About 2 days ago I started my period (I think) 3 days early. Now all I am discharging is this slimy blood. Any ideas what this could be. It all started after my ER visit due to gallstone attacks. I don't think this has anything to do with it though.

It would be unlikely that a discharge lasting this long would be your menstrual period. This sounds like an infection. It would be good to have it looked into by a Gynecologist.
