    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

My friend is 17 and her boyfriend is 22, she is going to the Gynecologist soon and she has been sleeping with her boyfriend without her mothers knowledge. She is worried about her boyfriend getting into trouble because they are having sex, because someone told her Gynecologists can tell when the last time you had sex was based on doing a vaginal exam.

    Take the Poll

Can a gynecologist really tell how long it has been since the last time you have had sex if it has only been within a week or two?
    • Yes
    • No
    • Not sure
    • Depends on how long it has been

Hello, Gynecologists can tell when someone isn't a virgin because the Hymen will be broke but I don't think they can tell WHEN someone last had sex.

Please tell your friend to be careful and use protection.

Just because the hymen is broke doesn't mean the female isn't a virgin. Many girls tear their hymen doing excercises such as gymnastics or horseback riding.
