    lump, now irregular periods...
    An_252058 posted:
I am 25 years old and I found a lump in my left breast 3 years ago. It's still there and has got a little bit bigger. Now for the past few months my period has come more fequent. About every 2 weeks and lasts only 4 1/2 days. One of the days is kind of heavy, the rest is normal to light. My boyfriend keeps telling me to go to the doctor but I have no money or insurance to go. I know there just going to tell me in order to find out whats wrong i will need tests, which costs money... Hopeing someone would have some insight, maybe has gone through something similiar, anything... Because now its starting to worry me. Thanks

So...if someone posted here that they've gone though the same thing and found out it was due to cancer, this would, somehow, make you feel better?

Your boyfriend is correct. This heavy and frequent bleeding is not normal and needs to be looked into medically.

Do you have a Planned Parenthood Organization where you live? They offer lower cost reproductive services.

It wouldn't make me feel better if someone said it was cancer... But I wouldn't feel alone.... Maybe its just my hormones going crazy. I dont know, thats why I'm on here. And no there is not a planned parenthood organization where I live. And the health department dosen't deal with womems issues, unless your pregnant.
    georgiagail replied to starbaby87's response:
The problem is, no one here can diagnose why you are having all this bleeding except to let you know that it is not caused by a menstrual period. It could be due to something fairly benign (for example, uterine fibroids that have grown into blood vessels in the uterus)..or a more serious tumor issue. If it's a ormone problem, there's got to be a medical reason for this. One of the biggest side concerns is that all this bleeding does leave you at increased risk of the possibility of develping anemia which can be quite serious in itself.
