Ovarian cysts

I am 19 and have never had surgery before...i went to the er the other day and they had told me to see and obgyn about a huge amount of cysts on both ovaries, and an abnormally large one on my left one. Im going tomorrow to see an obgyn...what questions should i ask and should i just ask to have them surgically removed?

Since you have "a huge amount of cysts on both ovaries" you may have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). It's a metabolic disorder and a string of cysts on the ovaries are one of the symptoms. They'll likely come back if they're removed. However, the abnormally large one may need to be removed depending on the size or if it doesn't shrink. Birth control pills are oftentimes helpful in keeping cysts under control. This link may be helpful -
