early period on birth control

I've been on the same birth control for over 2 years. this is the first time this has happened. i got my period one month early (i take jolessa, 3 months with no period at a time) and it's lasting longer than my usual period on my off week. usually i have my period for 2 or 3 days and it's always old blood (dark blood). but i've had it now for 6 days with the first 2 days of dark blood and thereafter red blood. i'm very concerned. this has never happened. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
