Is pregnancy possible..
Anon_21189 posted:
A 13 y/o girl had unprotected sex and the boy ejaculated in her. She had NOT started having periods yet. After sex she bled a LOT!

Is it possible for her to get pregnant since she hadn't had a period yet?

And would /should having sex "kick in" her actual period? It's been 2mos now and she hasn't had a period. I'm concerned for her.

Yes, she could be pregnant. Do a pregnancy test.

Can you explain how it is possible? She had never had a period before. I'm not trying to argue, just understand. I thought you had to have a period to ovulate and to ovulate to get pregnant. But I've never thought through this type of scenario and now I'm confused.

Actually, ovulation comes first, then menstruation. Perhaps the person who answered assumed that there is a possibility that the 13 year old may have ovulated for the 1st time during the unprotected intercourse.

It's, of course, a possibility but this would certainly be interesting timing.

It is also unlikely that her bleeding after this intercourse was an actual menstrual period.
