vaginal odor, irregular cycles....

So I was browsing webmd for some answers and can not seem to find anything related to my symptoms.

I have a very foul, onion-y vaginal odor, with clear, watery discharge. No other issues related to that area. no itching, no swelling, no painful intercourse..... the discharge is not thick, not cottage-cheese like, like some articles have said. no burning when I pee.... nothing. just an odor and clear discharge. the odor is not a fishy smell, but smells like old onions. I thought it might be from the soap I was using, so I threw it out and bought Summers Eve feminine wash. seemed to help for a few days, but the odor is still present.

my only other concern, and Im not even sure if theyre related is that since august my periods have been very irregular and sporadic. I got my period as anticipated august 4th, normal cycle, and it was on time. then I got it again Aug 21. I got it very late in Sept (due appx Sept 10) but I started Sept 20. Also got it late in Oct (due appx Oct 15) but started Oct 21. I started my period on Nov 4th...only 14 days later. my normal cycle is about 32-36 days. I have been feeling ill lately, not throwing up, but diarrhea, and upset nauseous stomach. My friend says I might be pregnant, as she had her period all thru her pregnancy and didn't even know she was preggo until her stomach started to show. Could I be pregnant? preg tests are expensive and I really dont want to buy one and have it be negative, and I dont currently have insurance, so I cant go to the Dr.

what should I do?

You need to go to the doctor. It is impossible to diagnose over the Internet.

Here is an article on missed or irregular periods that may help.

You can get free pregnancy tests at women's clinics and many hospitals. In addition, if you have a dollar store near you, they also often carry pregnancy tests.

Feminine wash will not help any type of infection or odor by changing the source of it and it could eventually make things worse.

There is Health Care Regardless of Your Ability to Pay by calling your local health department, women's clinic (like Planned Parenthood (not just for unplanned pregnancies) or use this tool to Find a Health Center from the HRSA. The following resource helps you to learn ways of Managing Medical Bills.

Hi Staceymoe, Read up on the benefits of taking Folic Acid. We all have our own 'smell'. Maybe it's something in your diet. I wasn't really confident in my natural smell. Nothing was wrong....it was recommended that I add the Folic Acid to my diet. No probs since Woo hoo! Please let me know after a week or so of taking them how things turn out if you decide to do so. Thanks!

You should definately talk to a doctor. Family planning clinics are inexpensive and can take care of most gyno needs. Many women have a discharge. I have always had a discharge since I was little; even before puberty. The smell can be related to a vitamin deficiency or to something in or lacking in your diet.

You can go to your health clinic and talk with them. They are based on income, at least some of them are. I would either go up there or call them to find out and let them know that you are needing a pregnancy test. That is how I had mine done. Cause the health center is about women's health and they want to help. They will give information and answer any questions that you may have. Good luck.

I had the same onion problem for years and years, looked all over the internet, and tried every solution I could find, and after such a long time, I discovered a number of solutions that worked. I have so many, that I posted them all in one place. Take a look:
