Atrophy does occur as estrogen levels drop during peri-menapause and menapause in the vagina. Dr. Oz tells us to use estrogen suppositories and get our testosterone levels checked, and lots of other good tips!

This can also happen if you've been breastfeeding for awhile, which is what happened to me. I was given an estrogen cream to use but wasn't so comfortable using it while BF'ing, but things returned back to normal when I stopped.
