period 3 times in about a month
liz72489 posted:
I got my period late last month on may was a normal period. then i got it again june 16th. the 16th is usually when i would get it. however that 1 lasted longer than it usually does. it was a little over a week. now i am spotting since july 2nd. the 3 of them are like 2 weeks apart. is this normal? i have been really stressed out lately though. i didn't know if that has something to do with it. this hasn't happened before. except once or twice before i would get my period late and then on the correct day so that it was like 2 weeks apart, however not 3 times. can anyone tell me what is wrong?

The typical normal cycle can be between 21 and 35 days. So, yes, 14 days apart would be considered abnormal.

The question you should be asking is does this bleeding represent a menstrual period (unlikely) or abnormal vaginal bleeding due to some issue that has nothing to do with menstruation.

An internet board cannot tell you why this is happening. It would be a good idea to make an appointment with your gynecologist to discuss this.

I have hypo-thyroidism and have been treated for 11 years now. I had my tubes tied 10 years ago and do not take any other medications (besides my thyroid suppliment). I have noticed that my periods have been slightly irregular all year. I had my blood checked about 8 months ago, and it was fine. Now I am having what seemes to be a period every 14-20 days. The bleeding is normal in flow and time.

Could this be an issue with my thyroid? How concerned should I be about this?
