Have a question...

Hi Dr.

I have a question pertaining to my fiance. He is 35 and the the other day I noticed that his right calf is larger then his left. He said it isnt painful and doesnt cause him any discomfort. What causes this? Is it something he should be concerned about? He has added that he had noticed recently that his veins seem to be much more noticable and seem slightly raised from the skin. I have told him to call his physician and make an appt for a check up but always seems to have some excuse for not doing it.

Thanks
B

Hi:

I'm not a doctor, but if I were, please note that WebMD DOES NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

"I have told him to call his physician and make an appt for a check up......"

Excuse(s) aside, do your very best to convince him to make an appointment for a thorough check-up.

Best of luck to your fiance and you down the road of life.

Take care,
