    Palpitations with dizziness
    kellic posted:
    Hello all,

this morning as I was driving into work I had an episode of palpitations and then it felt like all the blood was rushing to my head, I was afraid of passing out at the wheel. I have a history of palpitations and have worn a holter monitor twice which didnt' detect anything but sinus tachyardia. Should I go to doctor? the episode lasted less than 10 seconds and I can say that I am under an extreme amount of stress. Thanks for any insight.
    James Beckerman, MD, FACC responded:
I would definitely recommend that you discuss this with your doctor. Symptoms that could make you pass out while driving are very concerning. I would recommend following your doctor's recommendations regarding driving.
