Peace of mind
About 4 weeks ago I experienced a panic attack. I went to my doctor and explained my shortness of breath, high pulse, and fear. He suggested I go back on my celexa and Xanax. My pulse rate is around 78, good bp, 98 pulse of levels.

I continue to be very anxious, when I get the least bit if indigestion or stinging in chest over left breast, I panic and of course pulse shoots up.

We did an EKG and it was normal, can these chest issues just be my anxiety.

It may/can be, but obviously, there is no way to truly tell/know for sure here.

"We did an EKG and it was normal,"

The routine resting electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) offers limited diagnostics.

Heart info, cardiac tests info, actual diagnostic images

It is important to remember that EKGs are not 100% accurate. Normal recordings can be obtained in patients with significant heart disease, or some "abnormalities" may exist in the presence of a normal heart.

Best of luck down the road of life.

Take care,

Panic attacks and anxiety can manifest themselves with physical symptoms like chest pain and shortness of breath. But it is important if you are having symptoms to let your doctors know.
