Heart Rate
An_252512 posted:
I am currently 39 weeks pregnant. My heart rate is usually up in the 80's-90's, which freaks me out when it's that fast, sometimes it's even hit 110! I am also very anemic. Today, my heart rate is about 65-70, and it's freaking me out. Granted, I did have a burst of energy this morning, but I have been sort of lounging all day, it's still bothering me. I am wondering if maybe taking my iron, which it's only been like 4days, but that has helped already? Literally 2 days ago I had an EKG and an ECHO done and I spoke to a cardiologist who said everything looked good!
James Beckerman, MD, FACC responded:
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Your normal EKG and echocardiogram seem very reassuring. Your heart rate is within a normal range - and heart rate does vary moment to moment. If you are feeling all right, that is also very reassuring.
