EKG

I had an EKG last week at my annual check up with my primary care doctor. He said it was 98 which could be normal for me but he would like to schedule an Echocardiagram to be sure. The cost of the procedure is going to be $1065.00 even though I have insurance. Can you tell me what the EKG 98 means and if I should have the procedure?

Thank you,
