    One Thing at a Time

    Most of us have an overcrowded schedule from time to time, and looking at all the things that need to be done makes us feel anxious and overwhelmed. The trick is to tackle things one at a time, making sure to complete a specific task before moving on to the next. So review your schedule for the day or the week, then pick one item you need to get done or one decision that you can make fast, in five minutes or less. Once you've finished that, cross it off your list with a flourish and say out loud: "Done!" No matter how small the task, give yourself credit for doing it. Your sense of control and confidence will grow.

    I don't think "multi-tasking" is doing me any favors lately! I"m making my list right now and can't wait to shout my first "done".
