Don't go by what "you hear".

I don't know about enlarged heart. I suggest you take on your own research at the www.pubmed.com website. Its a world wide clearing house of abstracts of research studies on everything you can think of, and more.

Can your heart go back to normal ? I don't know.

Is an enlarged heart ALWAYS a problem ? No, some athletes have temporarily enlarged hearts.

You do want to learn all you can, so no one can scare you with "what they heard". Its your condition. You have the most interest in it, so become your own expert.

I have severe atheroclerosis, and was predicted to have already gotten heart failure and should have died by now.
But I know what to eat, and how to exercise, and I'm still doing just fine, thank you very much.

I hope you can do the same, for a very long time. Meanwhile, decide how you want to live your life. Wild and crazy, or full of care and compassion, or somewhere in between, and ... just do it.

I just had open heart surgery. I had an enlarged heart from the inparticular defect I had. You just need to visit the doctor/cardiologists whenever scheduled so that it is monitiored. Im sure you can have sudden death but thats with everything. I know people who have had enlarged hearts for 10 yrs and they are fine with just being on medicine.

Thanks for the support for John.

Of course always see a doctor, hopefully one who thinks you are important to be able to control your issue and recover from it.
