    I am considering adding wheatgrass to my diet. Does anyone have any experience with this? How do you take it: capsules? powder? fresh? Do you put it in green shakes? Soups? Salads? Have you noticed any benefits? Do you grow it yourself? Any information would be appreciated.Thanks!

    I've never used it but the people I've known who use it have a special juicer to extract the juice from it. Apparently, it's not like juicing a regular fruit or vegetable. I've also seen it for sale at juice bars like "Jamba Juice" in 1-ounce cups. It's easy to grow; I've seen it growing on people's window sill and at the juice bars.

    I've read it's very bitter & can cause stomach upset unless you gradually increase the dose.

    I was curious about wheat grass so when I was in Jamba Juice I looked it up in their nutritional book on their shelf. Their book said that wheat grass supplied chlorophyll. I don't know how much chlorophyll is in that tiny and expensive cup, but I bet a spinach, romaine, or kale leaf has as much. I eat so much kale, collards, and romaine I must be overdosed on chlorophyll. I suspect this is just a ripoff. If we were designed to eat grass we'd have a digestion system similar to other grass/cellulose eaters. Cows have 4 (really only 1 true stomach) stomachs and they regurgitate their food to chew on it again. I am glad I am not a cow.

    For curiosity, I looked up some info about chlorophyll. Looks like it has benefits I wasn't aware of. Good to know it's found in all leafy green vegetables so we don't have to juice it. One of the sites does mention stomach upset from drinking liquid chlorophyll as opposed to eating foods that have it. Since you would get a much bigger & faster dose of it by juicing it, that may cause a problem. I've watched someone juice it & it takes a whole bunch of it to make a few drops.

    Hmmm, nothin' wrong with reducing bad breath or body odor, but creating a pleasant fragrance to fecal waste & urine?..
