    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

FDA Warnings - Zocor and Crestor
    xring posted:

    Amazing FDA admission:
"Overall, the FDA said it believes the benefits of statin drugs, when used as recommended, outweigh their potential risks."
    Politicians should serve two terms.
One in office and one in prison.
    EngineerGuy responded:
    Hi Xring,

Thanks for the informative post, as always.

It makes me thankful that we, on this board, are off, or getting off statins, as their need is replaced by incredible health from the much more effective lifestyle.

    Best regards, EngineerGuy
    DoloresTeresa replied to EngineerGuy's response:
I think X is over reacting. It says right there that crestor damages muscles no more than any other statin. There ya go. And those people who were damaged from this statin were sick people and had stuff like diabetes. So if doctors only prescribed drugs for healthy people these problems would be avoided. Whew! I was worried there for a minute. It isn't nice to alarm old ladies, X.

P.S. The article also pointed out an obscure scientific fact--the larger the dose the more damage occurs. Scientists must have worked late into the night to figure out that one.
