Folic acid supplements increase Prostate Cancer

This is an amazing study. 1 mg folic acid supplements, randomly assigned versus placebo, and followed for up to 10 years, caused a 9.7% prostate cancer rate, versus 3.3% for placebo.

Guess where I heard it from? , of course. WHY NOT FROM A GOVERNMENT SOURCE (US Dietary Gurdelines, for example?) Open and click on Cancer, for much more dramatic info, including reducing breast cancer incidence, etc.

I'm glad Fuhrmans "gentle care supplement"omits these potentially harmful additives.

However, how many vitamins are people getting who eat fortified foods. Even something which is supposed to be a vegan substitute for cheese (nutritional yeast) has folic acid in it with no label warning not to eat more than 2.5 tablespoons full (this 440 mcgs folic acid which is the daily value for the vitamin.
