EG mentioned the book Eat Right Electrolyte. It is written by a retina specialist (Rex Hawkins) who's been in practice for 40 years. It was a bit difficult to track down but it recently arrived. The book contains some very interesting information about macular degeneration. It seems that blood pressure is quite a factor contributing to it. He had scan pics showing degenerating maculas and 33 months later, eating as we all know we should, the degeneration is reversed. Looks a lot like Esselstyns pics of reversals in his book. My goodness, how things are related. This certainly is motivating for me to pick myself up and get going again. Seems like macular degeneration is like a stroke in the eye. Soon I will get prescription wrap around sunglasses. Living in Hawaii still means lots of beach and sunshine for this old former surfer and farmer turned teacher. I sure enjoy this site. I've been reading here for years.
