Sodium linked to Autoimmune Diseases
engineerguy posted:
Hi folks,

OUCH !! High sodium diets may be linked to autoimmune disease.

Here's Dr. Fuhrman's blog that alerted me to this.

I had heard of salt linked to autoimmune disease once before. Dr. Rex Hawkins wrote Eat Right Electrolyte. He is a retired opthamologist. He is certain that a low sodium diet was essential to his curing his own Crohn's disease. He had previously tried a Pritikin-like program, without the low sodium aspect. He was only successful when he included the low sodium aspect with his Pritikin diet.

Great posts EG.I only check in once a week now on the diet debate board so I'm not around as often as I was..,,,but I do eventually get caught up.

Hi jc,

Yes, I check only once a week, also. Glad you like the posts! I check diet debate, too, of course.
