hep c with low viral load

recently was tested positive for hep c, but when they did the viral load they said it came back low and that i have no active virus. does this mean that i do have the virus or that i just have the antibodies becase i have been exposed to it? i couldnt get a straight answer from them. please help... i dont know where to go from here.

There is a major difference between having a low viral load and no active virus.
If you have a low viral load that is confirmed with repeat testing then you have active hepatitis C and need to consider treatment options.

If you have a confirmed undetectable viral load, then you do not have chronic hepatitis C and do not need further evaluation.
