    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

I was diagnosed in 2003 with HCV. Never did what everyone thinks about people with the desease. I spent 26 years in the USAF and as a flyer nowthat I see my medical records that I was never tested for liver enzymes etc. BOOM, Come 2003--HCV and as my doctor said I had it about 24 years+/-. It cost me my flying career and allot of anguish. I then in 2008 went from a 19 MELD to a 23 in 90 days. Surprisingly I was accepted into a transplant program at UAB in Birmingham, AL # 10 on the National list (A+blood type). Well its been 5 years this month. I am a lucky one. BUT the diabetes caused by the Prograf (rejection med) has done me in and I am worse with T2 Diabetes. I am 60, weigh 190/5'8" and in no way obese. I want to share this with you all. I want to be hopefull for all of you. I was lucky, but now in so much pain from T2D. I am here so I can tell my story while listening to all yours. God Bless.
