I found this page tonite and have been reading all night long. I was officially diagnosed in the winter of 2013 and have been navigating this ever since. I am on a liver transplant list pending my insurance company approval. I was just dropped by my local specialists in my small town due to my high risk and liability to their practices.

I have suffered from enceleleopathy (even though I can't spell it) and that took several hospital trips to add an antibiotic to the Lactulose.

I am not working anymore, receive a small disability check and am just taking it day by day. Thought this looked like a nice support group. I am 44 year old female, long term separated from husband and have 2 young adult children.

Tiff, you must be a legend of this on the internet! I found a few other sites today and saw people referring to you!

I am MELD of 19.

Have you heard of local doctors releasing patients over liability and high risk patient? Not everyone lives in the Denver Metro. I am about a 12 hour car ride away, I can't just up and run to Denver everytime I need to go to the dr.

OH WHY DON'T YOU ASK YOUR HEP MD TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL MD AND TALK TO HIM.....I AM SURE HE WOULD DO THAT FOR YOU....MY LIVER MD WAS 2 HRS AWAY AND MY LOCAL MD WORKED WITH HIM ....PLEASE ASK HIM TO DO THAT FOR YOU....

OMG WHAT SITES WERE I MENTIONED ON ??? I JUST FEEL THE NEED TO PAY IT FORWARD....I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE NEW 3RD DRUG THEY USE NOW.

WE NEED YOU TO KEEP COMING BACK TO HELP OTHERS AND IT WILL HELP YOU TOO THAT I KNOW FOR SURE...

I think on Inspire? Linked though American Liver Foundation sites. I found a few others, once I found some of these boards that were current I was estatic. Seems most questions posted and information on other sites that was person to person was always 5 years old.

I am heading back "home" to be closer to all doctors by mid-late this month. I have a few obligations to finalize first and since I don't drive anymore due to the cataracts and HE, I am at someone else's mercy.

I am happy to be part of some great groups.
