I was diagnosed with AIH in 2010.confirmed by a liver biopsy and abnormal LFTs. Treated with Prednisone /Budesamide//6 MP with inability to tolerate this drug within 3 months of treatment. I have been titrated completely off prednisone,6 months ago labs stabilized . However I experience a chronic type of fatigue, lack motivation, We would appreciate a referral at the Mayo clinic for Hepatology.

Dr Keaveny was my liver specialist at the JAX Mayo clinic.
He saved my life with his med protocol of prednisone and azathioprine. I have AIH, but have been weaned off the prednisone as of 3 months ago, as I am in remission, but am still having low energy and motivation like you are, but it has gotten a little better since then. I was told that my adrenal glands are partly to blame because of being on prednisone and it may take awhile for them to kick start up again. Also have recently been diagnosed with the beginning stages of a thyroid problem coupled with low testosterone which I attribute to having AIH. Best advise is too eat all natural foods, exercise and get lots of sleep! See a specialist and let me know what he says.
