    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

I was told I had Hepatitis at age 15 after swimming in a pool with someone who was infected. Many kids had contracted it that day. I was told I could not give blood. Not sure which type of Hep I have. I didn't have any symptoms really but out of school for at least two weeks and everybody in contact with me had to get a shot. This was in 1974. I get blood tests every year and my liver is always fine. Just curious which type would this be that you can get it just by swimming in a pool and I can't give blood? I have asked my Dr. but he was pretty vague with his answer.

I DOUBT VERY MUCH YOU GOT HCV FROM THE POOL.

TELL YOUR MD YOU WANT TESTED FOR WHAT KIND OF HEP YOU HAVE OR HAD.
