Hep C and Testesteron
Wita13 posted:
Hi, my partner has hep C and wants to start taking testestrone. Is this a problem? I know that my partner does have some liver damage.
hawgfan responded:
Just a couple of questions:
1. What does his doc say?
2. Why does he want to take testestrone?
Melissa Palmer, MD responded:
There have been numerous studies suggesting that testosterone may be linked to the development of liver cancer. Thus, the risks versus the benefits of taking testosterone must be carefully weighed.

I have to take I.M. testosterone 200 mg. every 10 days after damage to the pituitary. I was told they will watch my lab work closely. Be careful with drugs that may not be necessary , I was told they may make a big difference in your outcome.
