Excessive joint pain

I have been on Pegasys/copegus ,almost 1/2 way to my 48 weeks. I have been lucky with side effects with the exception of moderate/severe joint pain. It moves around to random joints some, but remains very painful in the knees , shoulder ,hips and hands. I still work 55 hour weeks successfully but this amount of pain has been very difficult to manage. The dr. dosn't seem to hear me about these problems. Have been diagnosed with osteo/degenerative arthritis many years ago. Is there somthing to help that dosn't use naproxin or narcotics ? I lost Bextra when it left the market ( it worked great ) and have found no suitable alternative.

If you do not have advanced liver disease - stage 3 or 4, and no kidney disease, then you could take a NSAID in moderation. If you have advanced liver disease and do not drink any alcohol then acetaminophen less than 3-4 grams/day is the safest pain reliever for those with liver disease.
